About Me
Dr. Christopher Kullas is an ophthalmologist who emphasizes patient-centered care. He believes that advances in ophthalmology have improved surgical outcomes and expanded the options available to patients. When surgery is being considered, he strives to present multiple choices and takes time to understand each patient's individual needs, as getting to know patients is essential to determining the best course of treatment.
Dr. Kullas grew up in Bellingham, Washington. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Washington and went on to attend medical school at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He completed his internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at the Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health Sciences University. He is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. After participating in a medical mission in Guatemala, he returned to his hometown to enter private practice. Currently, Dr. Kullas specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, performing approximately 500 cataract surgeries each year, and also provides routine ophthalmologic care for his established patients.
