Meet Dr. Christine Elizabeth Martinez

Christine Martinez, MD, is a cornea and external disease specialist who partners with patients to restore clarity and comfort to the ocular surface. She offers a full range of medical and surgical options, from cataract surgery to complex corneal transplantation (including PKP, DALK, DSEK, and DMEK), and performs pterygium excision, corneal cross-linking for keratoconus, limbal stem cell transplantation, and removal of ocular surface tumors. Dr. Martinez practices in a collaborative academic environment, which means patients benefit from the latest diagnostics, technology, and multidisciplinary input for challenging cases. She enjoys guiding people through their choices, explaining each step, and aligning treatment with their vision goals and daily activities. Her training includes ophthalmology residency at Ohio State and a cornea fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to adult care, she treats cornea conditions in younger patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
