Dr. Charles Thompson

Dr. Charles Thompson is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in corneal conditions, external eye diseases, and refractive surgery. He provides advanced care for patients with corneal disorders and performs vision correction procedures, including LASIK. Dr. Thompson also treats glaucoma and is dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain optimal eye health.

A native of Lake Charles, Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University. He then pursued a fellowship in cornea and external disease with the Eye Consultants of Atlanta, honing his expertise in complex corneal conditions and refractive surgery.

Dr. Thompson joined The Eye Clinic in 2013, where he brings his specialized skills to patients in Southwest Louisiana. He is committed to providing personalized, high-quality eye care and utilizes the latest technology and treatments to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients.
