About Me
Dr. Joseph Christenbury is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea care and surgery, external eye diseases, refractive (LASIK) procedures, and cataract surgery. He earned both his undergraduate degree and medical degree at Duke University, then completed internship training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Christenbury completed ophthalmology residency training at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute and pursued fellowship training at Eye Consultants of Atlanta. He joined Eye Consultants of Atlanta in 2018 and cares for patients across multiple Atlanta-area locations. In addition to clinical care, he has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications, textbook work, and presentations at national meetings.
Patients can expect a thoughtful, education-focused visit designed to clarify the diagnosis, review treatment options, and outline a plan that aligns with their goals. Dr. Christenbury is also an EVO Visian ICL certified surgeon.
