About Me
Dr. Carolyn Chen is a fellowship-trained retina specialist who provides advanced surgical care for retinal diseases. She treats macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and other complex retinal conditions, bringing elite-level expertise from Boston's top programs to patients in the Conroe, Kingwood, Spring-Klein, and The Woodlands areas.
Dr. Chen completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Stanford University and her medical education at Baylor College of Medicine. She then pursued an internship in internal medicine, an ophthalmology residency, and a specialized surgical fellowship in vitreoretinal disease at prestigious institutions in Boston.
Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Chen is an active member of professional societies including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retinal Specialists. She has published research on retinal treatments and is dedicated to offering comprehensive, patient-centered retinal care.
