Dr. Caroline Minkus
About Me
Dr. Caroline Minkus is an ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in ocular immunology and uveitis. She cares for people living with uveitis—an inflammatory condition inside the eye—and helps diagnose and manage eye involvement from autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, including sarcoidosis. She has particular experience in caring for pediatric uveitis and in using biologic medications to control ocular inflammation.
In addition to specialty uveitis care, Dr. Minkus also provides general ophthalmology services, including cataract surgery. She focuses on careful evaluation, clear explanations, and coordinated care when eye inflammation is connected to a patient’s broader health.
Dr. Minkus completed medical school at Northwestern University, residency training in ophthalmology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and fellowships in ocular immunology and uveitis at both Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Northwestern. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
