Meet Dr. Byron Thomas Cook

Byron "Trip" Cook, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in cornea, refractive, and cataract surgery. He provides comprehensive eye care and performs over 1,000 major eye surgeries each year, including advanced cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and laser vision correction. Dr. Cook sees patients at Woolfson Eye Institute's locations in Cumming, Sandy Springs, and Snellville, Georgia.

Dr. Cook completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia and went on to a cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. His practice is focused on delivering the latest surgical techniques and technology to his patients.

His clinical expertise includes the management of complex corneal conditions such as Fuchs dystrophy and keratoconus, advanced cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, LASIK, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery.
