Dr. Brandon Mccafferty

Dr. Priyanka Kanakamedala is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea fellowship–trained surgeon who focuses on cataract and refractive vision correction. She performs customized refractive cataract surgery using femtosecond-laser technology and works with patients who are considering premium intraocular lens options, including multifocal implants and the Light Adjustable Lens. In addition to routine cataract surgery, she treats complex cataracts and provides cornea-focused care such as corneal transplantation, Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK), and scleral-fixated intraocular lenses. She also offers LASIK and PRK, along with corneal cross-linking for keratoconus. Dr. Kanakamedala earned her undergraduate degree at Duke University and completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at Indiana University, followed by a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Minnesota. She has presented research at national meetings and has experience in international health work.

Dr. Erik Kulenkamp is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who evaluates and treats a wide range of eye conditions for adults. His clinical work includes medical and surgical care for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome and refractive problems. He has a particular interest in the management of complex cataracts and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), tailoring surgical plans to each patient’s vision goals and lifestyle. His care philosophy is patient-centered and personal—he strives to deliver state-of-the-art care while making every visit feel respectful and unrushed. Dr. Kulenkamp completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota after earning his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He values collaboration with primary care and optometry colleagues and emphasizes clear explanations, shared decision-making and practical follow-up so patients feel supported before and after treatment.

Andrew Clingerman, MD, MPH, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Mankato Clinic Eye Care Center. He cares for adults and seniors with common and complex eye conditions, with special interest in glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetic eye disease. Patients appreciate his clear explanations, comfortable pace and focus on shared decision-making. Dr. Clingerman offers routine and medical eye exams and coordinates in-office laser procedures when appropriate, working closely with the clinic’s optometry and surgical teams to streamline each step of care. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Clingerman earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Louisville. He also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Pacific Lutheran University. He uses modern diagnostics to personalize treatment plans and partners with patients to protect vision over the long term.
