Meet Dr. Brandon Ayres
About Me
Dr. Brandon Ayres is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and external disease, anterior segment, and refractive surgery. He has been affiliated with the Cornea Service at Wills Eye Hospital since 2005 and with Ophthalmic Partners since 2007. Dr. Ayres serves as an assistant surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital and an instructor at Jefferson Medical College. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, respectful, and trustworthy care, maintaining a patient-centered approach that emphasizes spending quality time with each individual. He stays at the forefront of technology and innovative surgical techniques.
Dr. Ayres treats a wide range of conditions including corneal diseases, cataracts, refractive errors, ocular surface disease, and traumatic eye injuries. He performs advanced procedures such as all forms of corneal transplantation (including DSEK, DALK, and DMEK), LASIK, phakic lens surgery, and cataract surgery with multifocal intraocular lenses. He also manages infectious diseases of the eye. Dr. Ayres is actively involved in clinical research and education, and he has lectured nationally and internationally.
