About Me
Dr. Bernard Davidorf is a retired ophthalmologist who founded Davidorf Eye Group, serving the West Hills and Calabasas area. He received his medical degree from Ohio State University in 1961 and completed his internship at Philadelphia General Hospital. After serving in the United States Army, he pursued a fellowship in Ophthalmology at Barnes Hospital affiliated with Washington University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Davidorf has been in private practice in Los Angeles since 1967 and is an Associate Clinical Professor Emeritus at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute, where he received the Senior Honor Award. He was a pioneer in early clinical investigations for intraocular lens implants during cataract surgery and began performing refractive surgery in the 1980s. His extensive experience and involvement in national eye meetings have enabled him to provide high-quality medical and surgical eye care.
He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Davidorf is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the California Association of Ophthalmology.
