About Me
Dr. Bennett Hong is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on surgical and medical management of glaucoma, cataract removal, and anterior segment conditions. Dr. Hong believes in individualizing treatment for each patient and takes time to help patients understand their eye conditions, ensuring they are active participants in their care.
Dr. Hong completed his glaucoma fellowship at Oregon Health Science University and Legacy Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon, after finishing his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He earned his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine and graduated cum laude from Columbia University with a degree in Economics and East Asian Studies. He has presented research at national meetings including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society, and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, Dr. Hong returned to the area to serve the community. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and photography, which reflects his attention to detail and appreciation for visual clarity.
