Dr. Barry Skarf is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in neuro-ophthalmology at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan. He serves as Program Director of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship, guiding the education of future specialists. He earned his medical degree from McGill University and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Skarf further refined his expertise through fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of California San Francisco and in electrophysiology at Tufts University. His clinical focus encompasses the evaluation and treatment of visual disturbances caused by neurological conditions, including optic neuritis, double vision, and visual field defects.
