About Me

Dr. Robert L. Tomsak is an ophthalmologist specializing in neuro-ophthalmology. He completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, residency in ophthalmology at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

His clinical interests include eye movement disorders, cortical visual disturbances, headaches and the eye, optic nerve disorders, visual field abnormalities, and idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Dr. Tomsak is actively involved in research on clinical eye movement disorders and the use of optical coherence tomography in optic nerve diseases. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and contributed to textbooks in neuro-ophthalmology. He is affiliated with Wayne State University and the Kresge Eye Institute.
