About Me
Dr. Ayad Farjo is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder and president of Brighton Vision Center. He specializes in diseases and surgery of the cornea, cataracts, and refractive surgery, including LASIK and corneal transplantation. With decades of experience and tens of thousands of procedures performed, Dr. Farjo provides comprehensive eye examinations, consultations, and second opinions for conditions such as keratoconus, Fuchs corneal dystrophy, cataracts, and other corneal disorders. He offers advanced surgical techniques including premium cataract surgery with lens implants, corneal crosslinking for keratoconus, and laser vision correction.
After completing his medical and residency training at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in cornea, external diseases, cataract and refractive surgery, Dr. Farjo joined the faculty at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he taught residents and fellows and served as Assistant Medical Director of the Iowa Lions Eye Bank. He then entered private practice and later founded Brighton Vision Center. Dr. Farjo has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and co-authored national screening recommendations for patients taking hydroxychloroquine. He has been recognized as a Top Doc by Hour Detroit Magazine for over a dozen years.
