Meet Dr. Ashley Behrens

Dr. Ashley Behrens is an ophthalmologist and chief of the comprehensive ophthalmology division at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of cataracts and corneal diseases, including advanced corneal transplantation techniques for Fuchs' dystrophy and keratoconus. He also performs LASIK, PRK, and refractive lens exchange.

Dr. Behrens cares for patients with a variety of eye conditions such as dry eye, infections of the cornea, and other corneal and external diseases. His research interests encompass cataract surgery, dry eye, refractive surgery, and surgery of the cornea. He welcomes young adults, adults, and older adults, and communicates with patients in English, Spanish, and German.
