Dr. Anjali Badami

Dr. Anjali Badami is a board certified cornea specialist at Washington Eye Specialists whose interests lie in adult corneal and refractive surgery, as well as cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. She is highly trained for cataract surgery including premium lens options and femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery, full thickness penetrating keratoplasty and endothelial keratoplasty including DSAEK and DMEK. She is also trained for office-based procedures such as collagen crosslinking, EDTA chelation and superficial keratectomy.

A native of Saginaw, MI, Dr. Badami earned her undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University. She completed medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, PA, followed by an internship and her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. During residency, she was selected to be chief resident. She completed her training with a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Outside of work, Dr. Badami enjoys being outdoors, hiking and traveling.
