About Me
Dr. Andrew Pittner is a glaucoma specialist who provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with mild to complex forms of glaucoma, as well as cataracts and other general eye concerns. He completed ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, serving as co-chief resident, and advanced his training with a glaucoma fellowship at the University of Virginia focused on both adult and pediatric glaucoma. Dr. Pittner earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago and his undergraduate degree from the University at Buffalo, and he has authored peer-reviewed research recognized with the Beem-Fisher award from the Chicago Ophthalmological Society. Known for a calm, thoughtful manner, he works closely with each patient to explain findings, review options, and personalize a plan that fits their goals. He welcomes new patients and enjoys helping people protect and preserve vision over the long term.
