Meet Dr. Andrew Blasius Johnston

Dr. Andrew Johnston is a general ophthalmologist who provides complete medical and surgical eye care for patients in Knoxville and the surrounding communities. He treats age-related eye disease, manages glaucoma and dry eye, and offers cataract and eyelid procedures, working closely with subspecialty colleagues when needed. A Knoxville native, Dr. Johnston earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, completed an internship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, and finished his ophthalmology residency at the Hamilton Eye Institute. He performs modern, no-stitch cataract surgery with advanced lens implant options and offers in-office laser procedures such as YAG capsulotomy. He also provides functional oculoplastic care, including repairs for droopy or malpositioned eyelids.
