Dr. Andrea Avila Pineda

Dr. Avila provides expert medical and surgical eye care for infants, children, and adolescents, and she also performs corrective surgery for adults with misaligned eyes. Her clinical focus includes evaluating and treating strabismus, amblyopia, and complex pediatric eye conditions, with an emphasis on helping families understand the diagnosis and the steps needed to support healthy visual development. She also cares for children with pediatric corneal disease and supports patients with vision concerns such as double vision, abnormal eye movements, and refractive error.

Dr. Avila completed residency training in both pediatrics and ophthalmology and pursued advanced subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology. She is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with a broad range of patients and families. In every visit, she aims to deliver careful, age-appropriate care and clear guidance tailored to each child’s needs.
