Meet Dr. Amrita-Amanda Devi Vuppala

Dr. Amrita-Amanda D. Vuppala is a neuro-ophthalmologist and associate professor specializing in conditions that involve both the eyes and the nervous system. She practices at the Neuroscience Center – Specialty Clinics within the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. Dr. Vuppala focuses on diagnosing and managing neuro-ophthalmic disorders, providing comprehensive care for patients with vision problems related to neurological issues.

Her clinical expertise includes treating migraines with Botox injections, performing occipital nerve blocks and trigger point injections for headache management, and addressing conditions such as double vision, eye movement abnormalities, and idiopathic intracranial hypertension. Dr. Vuppala also manages optic nerve disorders like optic neuritis and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, as well as ocular myasthenia gravis and pseudotumor cerebri.

Dr. Vuppala completed her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, followed by internship and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital.
