Dr. Amit Chokshi

Dr. Amit Chokshi is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in laser vision correction, corneal surgery, and cataract surgery. He completed his medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, followed by a residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he began performing refractive surgery. Dr. Chokshi then completed a fellowship in refractive and corneal surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

As a fellowship-trained cornea and cataract specialist, Dr. Chokshi has served as director of the University of Florida Laser Eye Center and as assistant professor and director of the cornea and external disease division at UF. He is a LASIK specialist and a founding partner of Florida Eye Specialists. Having undergone LASIK himself, he offers a unique patient perspective and prioritizes compassionate, personalized care.
