Dr. Amanda Marzolf

Dr. Nicole M. Jody is a pediatric ophthalmologist with Norton Children’s Advanced Eye Care. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, completed an ophthalmology residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, and pursued fellowships in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Shiley Eye Institute (UC San Diego) and in ophthalmic pathology at the University of Wisconsin. Her philosophy is child-centered: she aims to create a comfortable, playful environment and to communicate clearly with families at every step. Dr. Jody’s clinical interests include strabismus, amblyopia, pediatric cataracts, pediatric glaucoma, high myopia, and retinopathy of prematurity. She works closely with pediatricians, neonatologists, and therapists to support healthy visual development, and she tailors care plans to each child’s needs—from observation and glasses to surgery when appropriate. Families value her thoughtful counseling and focus on long-term vision and quality of life.

Mohamed Khodeiry, MD, MSc, is an ophthalmologist at UofL Health who specializes in glaucoma, cataract, and neuro-ophthalmology. He completed medical school and a Master of Science at Benha University in Egypt, followed by residency at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology. Dr. Khodeiry pursued three fellowships: neuro-ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and glaucoma at the University of Kentucky. His clinical interests include surgical and medical management of glaucoma, cataract surgery, and evaluation of optic neuropathies. He is active in research on glaucoma outcomes, childhood glaucoma, and applications of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology. Dr. Khodeiry focuses on early diagnosis, individualized treatment plans, and consistent follow-up, working closely with patients and families to protect vision over the long term.

Dr. Eren Guner is a pediatric ophthalmologist who cares for children with strabismus, cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid disorders, and also treats adults with complex strabismus. He earned his medical degree from Hacettepe University in Ankara and completed ophthalmology residency at Istanbul University. He then completed consecutive fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at UT Southwestern in Dallas and at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. His approach is family-centered—he explains findings and options clearly so parents and caregivers know what to expect before, during, and after treatment. Dr. Guner’s clinical interests include strabismus surgery, pediatric cataract and glaucoma care, and management of congenital ptosis and other pediatric eyelid conditions. He is engaged in research on pediatric uveitis and retinal disease and has been recognized with a Best of Show Award at the AAPOS annual meeting. He welcomes collaborative care with pediatricians, optometrists, and therapists to support each child’s vision development.
