About Me
Dr. Amanda Bicket specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataract, with a focus on minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) techniques. She is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Center, where she brings her clinical expertise and research passion to patient care.
With training in both biomedical engineering and outcomes research from Johns Hopkins, Dr. Bicket studies the development and use of new surgical techniques in glaucoma treatment, as well as the treatment preferences and surgical experiences of glaucoma patients. She is an appointed member of the American Glaucoma Society Committee on Patient Preferences & Outcomes and works closely with the FDA to assess patients' priorities to inform clinical trial design. Her research on a novel glaucoma drainage device and patient-centered outcomes has been published in leading journals.
