Dr. Alexandra Herzlich

Dr. Alexandra Herzlich specializes in the medical and surgical management of corneal diseases and performs laser refractive surgery. A New York City native, she attended Georgetown University for her undergraduate studies and Georgetown University School of Medicine for her medical degree.

She completed her ophthalmology residency at Montefiore Medical Center – Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a fellowship in cornea and external eye disease at the Flaum Eye Institute. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Herzlich has expertise in advanced corneal transplant techniques including DSAEK, DMEK, and keratoprosthesis.

Dr. Herzlich serves as the Cornea Director at Jacobi Medical Center, educating future ophthalmologists, and is actively involved with the Eye Bank for Sight Restoration. She is a member of several professional societies dedicated to eye care and research.
