Dr. Aasim Kamal

Dr. Aasim Kamal is a triple fellowship trained eye surgery specialist with extensive experience in cataract and LASIK surgeries, having performed over 30,000 such procedures. He is certified on a wide range of phaco machines, lasers, and keratomes, including Intralase, and is also certified in Conductive Keratoplasty (CK). His expertise encompasses a variety of ophthalmic surgical techniques, making him a highly skilled surgeon in the field.

Dr. Kamal completed ten years of post-graduate training after medical school, which included an internship, two residencies in Neurology and Ophthalmology at New York Medical College, and three fellowships. He pursued a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa and two fellowships in Refractive Surgery at the Gimbel Eye Centre. During his residencies, he served as Chief Resident in both programs, and his training was further enhanced by personal instruction from world-renowned ophthalmology pioneers.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kamal has been actively involved in research and has authored numerous articles. He is a member of multiple prestigious ophthalmology societies, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field and staying at the forefront of ophthalmic care.
