About Me
Dr. William R. Katowitz is an attending surgeon in the Division of Ophthalmology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He provides care for children with a range of ophthalmic conditions, including tearing abnormalities, droopy eyelids (ptosis), facial trauma, eyelid and orbital tumors, thyroid disorders, and vascular malformations.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Katowitz is an associate professor of ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and serves as the fellowship director for a two-year program in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. His research interests include pediatric ptosis, orbital tumors, and disorders of the tear ducts.
