About Me
Dr. William Rhoades is a vitreoretinal specialist with Specialty Eye Institute. His clinical work centers on diagnosing and treating retinal disease, including diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, and providing surgical care for conditions such as macular holes and macular pucker.
Dr. Rhoades earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with distinction, in History and Biochemistry from the University of Michigan and received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He completed an internship at Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Massachusetts, an ophthalmology residency at Boston University Medical Center, and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is an active member of professional societies and has presented nationally, authored peer-reviewed publications, and contributed a book chapter.
