Dr. William Myers

Dr. William G. Myers is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon with over 30 years of experience on Chicago's North Shore. He maintains a private practice in Skokie and Evanston, Illinois, and serves on the faculty of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he has taught and mentored residents in cataract surgery.

Dr. Myers specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts and refractive vision problems. He is recognized for his expertise in advanced cataract surgery techniques, including dropless cataract surgery which eliminates the need for eye drops before and after the procedure. He offers both traditional and laser-assisted cataract surgery, and has performed more than 3,000 cataract surgeries. In addition to cataract care, he provides comprehensive general ophthalmology services for a wide range of eye conditions.

Beyond patient care, Dr. Myers is actively involved in ophthalmic research, focusing on intraocular medications and anterior segment surgery. He is a lead instructor at national and international courses on intracameral agents, and has been honored as Teacher of the Year multiple times in the Northwestern ophthalmology program.
