About Me

Dr. Todd Altenbernd is an Associate Clinical Professor in Ophthalmology at the University of Arizona, where he serves as the program director for the South Campus Ophthalmology program. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Altenbernd has worked in a variety of practice settings, including private multi-specialty groups, ophthalmology-specific multi-specialty practices, and solo practice. He now brings his expertise to a university-based setting, where he focuses on medical glaucoma and general ophthalmology. His research interests include glaucoma drainage devices, tonometry, and novel low-cost devices for monitoring glaucoma.
