Dr. Timothy Ekhlassi

Dr. Timothy Ekhlassi is a board-certified ophthalmologist in both Canada and the United States, specializing in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery. He focuses on improving the health, function, and appearance of the eyes and surrounding tissues, believing these structures are central to quality of life. Dr. Ekhlassi is dedicated to helping patients through both functional restoration and aesthetic enhancement.

He earned his medical degree at the University of Miami, where his interest in ophthalmology began during a rotation at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Ekhlassi completed his ophthalmology residency in Chicago and advanced his expertise through a prestigious ASOPRS fellowship in Detroit, where he focused intensely on plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, orbit, and face. He has extensive surgical experience and contributes to the field through book chapters, research, and conference presentations.
