Dr. Tadhg Schempf
About Me
Dr. Tadhg Schempf is a board-certified ophthalmologist who grew up in Pittsburgh and completed his ophthalmology residency at UPMC, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at the same institution. His extensive training allows him to treat a wide range of eye conditions with a focus on glaucoma and retinal diseases.
Dr. Schempf is actively involved in research, having investigated social determinants of health in glaucoma, telehealth effectiveness, retinal imaging, oculoplastic surgical approaches, and intraocular lens techniques. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and participates in community outreach through the Guerilla Eye Service and Mission of Mercy.
He joined Sewickley Eye Group to serve the community of his hometown, Pittsburgh. His wife, Molly, is from Sewickley, and they enjoy running, biking, hiking with their dog, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Schempf is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to every patient.
