About Me
Dr. Ta Chen Peter Chang is a tenured professor of ophthalmology, pediatrics, and human genetics at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He holds the Kolokotrones Endowed Chair in Ophthalmology and serves as the director of the Samuel & Ethel Balkan International Pediatric Glaucoma Center, one of the world's first and largest multidisciplinary pediatric glaucoma centers.
Dr. Chang specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and pediatric eye conditions. His clinical expertise includes pediatric glaucoma, pediatric cataracts, strabismus, and amblyopia. He is also experienced in managing adult glaucoma and emergency ophthalmology conditions. Dr. Chang's research interests focus on pediatric cataract and glaucoma surgical techniques, genetics of congenital anterior segment anomalies, and analysis of big data sets for rare eye diseases.
Dr. Chang is board certified in ophthalmology and sees patients from newborns to adults.
