Meet Dr. Steven Elliot Kitay

Dr. Steven Kitay is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Hampton Roads Eye Associates, where he has been practicing since 2001. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and provides a full range of eye care services. His clinical expertise includes micro-incision sutureless cataract surgery, medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, diabetic eye exams, and dry eye management. Dr. Kitay is a cataract specialist with extensive experience, having performed over 9,000 procedures. He offers laser-assisted cataract surgery and is a certified iStent surgeon, and he uses advanced technology lenses to help patients achieve spectacle independence.

Dr. Kitay earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is active in the medical community.
