Dr. Stephen Wiles

Dr. Stephen Wiles is the founder and president of Wiles Eye Center, with over 25 years of experience in ophthalmology. He specializes in cataract surgery and is known for developing the Micro-Touch Cataract procedure, a minimally invasive technique designed to reduce operating time and recovery. He has lectured nationally on minimally invasive cataract surgery and has been published on cataract procedures and intraocular lens implants.

Dr. Wiles is a Trabectome Certified Trainer and one of the few ophthalmologists in the Midwest trained to perform the iStent implant, a device used to control eye pressure in glaucoma patients. He sees patients at Wiles Eye Center locations in Kansas City and St. Joseph, Missouri. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wiles volunteers with charitable organizations and has participated in a medical mission to Peru providing sight-saving eye care.
