Dr. Stefanie Sherman

Dr. Stefanie Sherman is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in traditional and laser cataract surgery, including the use of the advanced LenSx femtosecond laser at the Clarkston Surgery Center. She offers a range of advanced intraocular lens options, such as multifocal, extended depth-of-focus, accommodating, and toric lenses, to help patients achieve their best possible vision after cataract surgery. Dr. Sherman also has special interests in eyelid surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, providing comprehensive care for various eye conditions.

A Michigan native, Dr. Sherman was raised in West Bloomfield and is a graduate of West Bloomfield High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and her medical degree from the University of Michigan. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, where she gained extensive experience in evidence-based eye care.

Dr. Sherman is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Women in Ophthalmology, and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. In 2018, she served as an Advocacy Ambassador for the Academy of Ophthalmology, traveling to Washington D.C. to advocate for patient safety and access to treatment. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, exercising, trying new restaurants, and cooking. Dr. Sherman is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care to her patients in the Clarkston area.
