About Me
Dr. Stacy Bang is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and corneal specialist providing expert care for eye conditions. She earned her medical degree from The George Washington University and completed her ophthalmology residency at MedStar Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center, where she served as chief resident. Her specialized training includes a cornea fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and a Master of Public Health degree.
Dr. Bang's expertise encompasses diseases of the cornea, complex cataract surgery, infections, dystrophies, dry eye syndrome, and ocular surface diseases. She is dedicated to educating patients about their vision, empowering them to participate in care decisions. As clinical director of the Washington National Eye Center, she is involved in resident education and has received the Golden Apple Award for teaching. Outside of practice, she engages in charity work providing eye care in underserved areas.
