Dr. Sophia Wong is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who provides compassionate and cutting-edge retinal care. She completed her residency at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, followed by a rigorous surgical fellowship at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Wong returned to The George Washington University as Associate Residency Program Director and now serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology.
Her practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, combining clinical experience with the latest research to guide treatment decisions. Dr. Wong is committed to placing visual health first, delivering patient-centered care with expertise, innovation, and compassion. She prioritizes each patient's well-being and long-term vision potential.
Dr. Wong lives in Bethesda with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading mystery novels and spending time in nature.
