Ophthalmology
About Me
Dr. Sivan Elyashiv is an ophthalmologist at Mass Eye and Ear who cares for adults with urgent and complex eye problems during hospital stays. As an ophthalmology hospitalist, she provides bedside consultation for patients admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Brigham’s Faulkner Hospital, coordinating closely with the primary teams and the Mass Eye and Ear Emergency Department.
Before joining the faculty, Dr. Elyashiv practiced in the Uveitis and Ocular Immunology and Retina Services at the Goldschleger Eye Institute of Sheba Medical Center in Israel, where she later served as Director of the Uveitis and Ocular Immunology Service. She now teaches and supervises residents and fellows in the emergency department, helping trainees recognize and treat sight-threatening conditions quickly and safely.
She is committed to listening carefully, explaining diagnoses in clear language, and partnering with patients and their families on next steps. Whether symptoms are new or part of a chronic condition, her goal is to protect vision and provide compassionate, timely care.
