About Me
Dr. Sila Bal is an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and external diseases, offering expert care for conditions affecting the front part of the eye. She is affiliated with Hawaii Pacific Health, having joined the network in 2024, and practices at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu.
Dr. Bal earned her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Subsequently, she pursued advanced training through fellowships in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the same institution, and additionally in global health at the John A Moran Eye Center-University of Utah Health Sciences Center.
She is certified in ophthalmology and is a member of Hawaii Health Partners, an accountable care organization committed to high-quality, efficient patient care. Dr. Bal's training and specialization enable her to manage complex corneal disorders and contribute to eye health initiatives.
