About Me
Dr. Shaam Mahasneh is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced training in cataract, corneal and LASIK surgery. She brings her expertise in managing ocular disease and cutting-edge surgical techniques to the Mansfield community, committed to providing the highest standard of care through personalized attention to detail, compassion and skill.
Dr. Mahasneh completed her ophthalmology residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident, and was accepted to their prestigious fellowship program in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery. During this fellowship, she managed a variety of complex medical and surgical eye patients and mastered laser assisted cataract surgery and premium intraocular lens implantation.
Currently, as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, she teaches cataract surgery to ophthalmology residents and is dedicated to continuing medical education. She is an active member of several ophthalmic societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Cornea Society, and has presented research at national and international scientific conferences.
