Dr. Sevak Valijan

Dr. Sevak Valijan is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with a strong surgical and research background. His clinical expertise includes comprehensive eye care, cataract surgery, monitoring and screening of macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, glaucoma treatment, and premium intraocular lens surgery. Patients benefit from his extensive experience in advanced eye care and his commitment to utilizing the latest techniques and technology.

Dr. Valijan completed his ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital and earned his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in physiological science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Throughout his training, he received multiple academic scholarships and has been involved in research studies at the Jules Stein Eye Institute and during his residency.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Valijan is passionate about education and leadership. He provides training for technicians and mentors college and medical students interested in healthcare careers. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is actively involved in his community, serving as prior vice-chairman of the parish council at St George Church in Troy, MI.
