Dr. Scott Spector

Dr. Scott Spector is an ophthalmologist who founded Spector Eye Care in Norwalk, Connecticut, where he has practiced for over 30 years. He completed his ophthalmology training at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and a Glaucoma fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Spector has extensive experience in cataract surgery and has been at the forefront of developing small incision, laser-assisted refractive cataract surgery. In 1999, he established the New Vision Cataract and Laser Surgical Center in Norwalk.

During consultations, Dr. Spector takes the time to understand each patient's visual goals and eye health, working together to set realistic expectations. He believes his success in refractive cataract surgery comes from his combined experience in both cataract and LASIK surgery, and he emphasizes the importance of surgical technique, modern lasers, implant selection, and patient education in achieving optimal outcomes.
