Dr. Scott Afran

Dr. Afran is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist with specialized training in the care of children's eye conditions. He focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia, strabismus, and refractive errors, and also offers comprehensive ophthalmic care for adults, including management of adult strabismus. Dr. Afran is committed to providing personalized eye care for patients of all ages.

Dr. Afran completed his medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He then completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Children's Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University in Chicago. He has been in private practice in Scarsdale, New York since 1991.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Afran serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at both the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and New York Medical College, where he is actively involved in teaching ophthalmology residents.
