Dr. Ryan Basham

With deep roots in Los Gatos, Dr. Ryan Basham is honored to provide eye care in the community where he grew up. A valued member of Spectrum Eye Physicians since 2019, he brings advanced expertise in ophthalmology and a personal commitment to improving vision and quality of life for his patients.

Dr. Basham began his academic journey at Bellarmine College Preparatory in Los Gatos before earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Creighton University in Omaha. He continued his medical education at Creighton, where he met his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Basham. Following medical school, Dr. Basham moved to Chicago, completing a year of general surgery and a three-year ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center. He completed a combined fellowship in ophthalmic pathology at UCSF and Stanford University upon returning to the Bay Area.
