About Me
Dr. Ronald W. Zamber is the President and Owner of the Eye Clinic of Fairbanks. He was raised in Anchorage and left Alaska in 1979 to attend the University of Notre Dame for undergraduate pre-professional training, where he received high honors. He then attended the University of Washington School of Medicine through the Alaska WAMI program, earning several academic and clinical honors. Dr. Zamber completed his internship and residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He returned to Alaska in 1994 after practicing in Eastern Washington.
His practice focuses on medical and surgical eye care, including the management of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, pediatric eye disease, ocular trauma, and oculoplastics. Dr. Zamber has served as the Secretariat for State Affairs for the Northwest Region for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is an Associate Examiner for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Committed to charitable work, he has completed medical and surgical mission trips to Ecuador, Nepal, Africa, and Costa Rica, believing it is essential to provide eye care to underprivileged individuals around the world.
