About Me
Dr. Robin R. Vann is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Duke Health. He specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of cataracts, with a focus on understanding each patient’s unique needs and expectations. Dr. Vann performs cataract surgery and manages related complications, using modern techniques to help restore clear vision.
Dr. Vann earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed a residency in ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, following an internship in medicine at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. He is dedicated to patient education and takes time to explain treatment options so that patients feel informed and confident.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Vann contributes to research on cataract surgery outcomes and intraocular lens power calculations. He sees adult patients at Duke Eye Center locations in Durham and Morrisville.
