Dr. Robert Filer

Dr. Robert Filer is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing in San Mateo, California. He specializes in cataract surgery and laser eye surgery, offering advanced techniques such as laser cataract surgery with the Lensx system and multifocal lens implants. Dr. Filer completed a fellowship in ocular oncology at the University of California, San Francisco, and served as chief resident during his ophthalmology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Stanford University, Dr. Filer is actively involved in teaching surgical techniques to ophthalmology residents and lectures on a wide range of ophthalmic topics.
