Dr. Robert Chen

Dr. Robert Chen is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract and refractive surgeon. He provides advanced eye care services including cataract surgery, LASIK, and primary vision care. Dr. Chen has performed thousands of cataract and refractive surgeries.

Dr. Chen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he received the Edith and Denton McKane Outstanding Ophthalmology Research Award. He completed his medical internship at Northwestern University and his ophthalmology residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Edward Harkness Eye Institute, where he served as Chief Resident. He further specialized with a LASIK/PRK fellowship at the Gimbel Eye Centre in Canada.

Currently, Dr. Chen serves as an attending surgeon at Ramapo Valley Surgical Center and Good Samaritan/Westchester Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
