Meet Dr. Richard Ira Abrahamson

Dr. Richard Abrahamson is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience in comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. He has particular expertise in cataract-refractive surgery, including cataract surgery, clear lens exchange, and advanced intraocular lens implants for astigmatism and multifocal correction. Dr. Abrahamson also has extensive training in glaucoma treatment, offering both laser and minimally-invasive glaucoma procedures.

After a brief retirement, Dr. Abrahamson returned to practice at Ohio Valley Eye Institute, where he provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on vision correction and anterior segment disease.
