About Me
Dr. Rasha Ali is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and surgeon who completed her cornea fellowship at the University of Minnesota after her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She earned both her undergraduate degree in English and her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating summa cum laude.
Dr. Ali treats a variety of ophthalmic conditions including diabetic eye disease, ocular surface disease, dry eye, glaucoma, and uveitis. She performs traditional and refractive laser-assisted cataract surgery, corneal transplants, and has a special interest in peri-ocular aesthetic management with cosmetic Botox and Restylane. She believes in a compassionate approach to patient care and values the relationships she builds with her patients.
She maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Illinois Society of Eye Physicians, and the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is part of the Gold Humanism Society. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ali enjoys calligraphy, painting, volunteering, and traveling with her family.
